Emma Park is an accredited practising functional medicine nutritionist with post grad education in Gastroenterology, Microbiology, Women & Children’s Health and Biochemistry. Emma is based on the Mornington Peninsular in Victoria.
Through her role in private practice, community health and as a professional educator for Puremedic, Emma has become and industry leader in the field of gut health and the microbiome. Her passion for education sees her presenting to groups regarding gut health and the microbiome and it’s role in fertility, pregnancy, lactation and paediatrics as well as general health, wellness and healthy aging.
In this session, we will explore the importance and role of the microbiome and gut health in fertility, pregnancy, labour, birthing and paediatrics, particularly in how it can assist in restoring the body’s natural processes that promote health and prevent disease. The human microbiome is trillions of bacterial cells that live within us, and we will explore the importance of birth and the transfer of these cells to the baby. Learn the latest research and evidence on how they shape our health and the health of our children, and how we as birth professionals can support our HypnoBirthing mothers to successfully seed their babies with a healthy microbiome in pregnancy and during breastfeeding.
Deb is a mother, a midwife in private practice in Brisbane, and a Yoni Mapping Specialist!
Her journey into nursing and midwifery came after the birth of her fourth child, and a desire to have women experience birth with a known midwife. This passion for continuity of care has been reflected in her career since graduating with positions in team models, caseload models, midwifery group practice models and of course private practice. Debs’ passion for supporting women led her to the modality of Yoni Mapping, which encourages themselves to discover their amazing strength, beauty and love.
‘Yoni’ is the Sanskrit word for vagina, meaning ‘sacred space’. The vagina is indeed a sacred space; it is literally the place from which human life is birthed! Many women feel disconnected from this part of their bodies for various reasons, such as, not liking how it looks, having sex when we don’t want to, abuse, medical trauma and of course birth.
In this fabulous session you will be learning about Yoni Mapping, which will really help you talk to your women about the physical, emotional, mental, spiritual and sexual aspects of themselves, giving them the opportunity to explore the magic within themselves for healing and the possibility to come to a place of wholeness, love and honour, which has the potential transform their birth experience and sense of womanhood.
